this entry is inspired by me stumbling onto the OST of Daisy after Liebe showing me Rapustin on utube...
i dun watch or follow korean or jap dramas. actually i only watch sit-coms or med-related TV shows nowadays. cos i have commitment issues wif TV serials. haha. but seriously n rather surprisingly korean stuff has pretty much managed to grab my heart.
it started with Summer Scent... saw a few episodes of it on TV cos frenz were telling me abt it cos it was abt this gal who had heart transplant from a gal named Enhui (now u noe why my frenz were telling me abt it!) so of course enhui had died. n dis movie is abt the gal, after getting enhui's heart basically lived out enhui's life by falling for Enhui's boyfriend n taking on alot of Enhui's personality! the conflict was Enhui's boyfriend who struggling to get over Enhui n falling with this girl. (classic eg of "my heart will go on"-celine dion style... lol)
the next was a free tic to the movie DAISY, a very beautiful movie filmed in Netherlands n directed by Infernal Affairs director, Andrew Lau. it was then dat i really fell in love with korean movies n the language. so much so dat i actually wanted to learn the lang!
next was a chance encounter. happened to see dat Ch U was showing a movie by the shuai guy who acted in DAISY so i watched it. turned out to be A Moment to Remember, a show i'll never forget too! lol... incidentally it's abt a gal kena-ing Alzheimer's at 27! n forgetting everything... including the man she loved n who in turn love her so dearly. man i cried my eyes out n continued crying LONG after the show! so yeah... i wanna watch it at least 2x more! (once wif priya n another wif L)
n these r my fav korean stars:
Son Ye-jin (January 11, 1982) she has smiling eyes... captivating. (summer scent n a moment to remember)
Jung Woo-sung (March 20, 1973) too shuai to be true! unkempt, unshaven, deep voice n a dark side... haha... (daisy & a moment to remember)
Evan essence is
1. essence of evan (?!) - take away the outer trappings and facade, what i am about.
2. evanescence
ev·a·nesce intr.v. ev·a·nesced, ev·a·nesc·ing, ev·a·nesc·es
To dissipate or disappear like vapor
"Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while & then vanishes away. " - James 4:14
"Man is like a mere breath; His days are like a passing shadow. " - Psalm 144:4
