you got to take God at His word and not indulge your low self esteem. God's people are giant slayers, walls crumble before them (see Jericho)... you can keep your "grasshopper mentality". but you would have forfeit the promised land and bought yourself a 40-year desert cruise to nowhere. see Deut 1:19-46, Numbers 13.
