My Presence will go with you

His unfailing Presence

Another year i enter

it's history unknown,

oh, how my feet would tremble

to tread its path alone!

But i have heard a whisper

I know i shall be blest,

"My presence shall go with thee,

And i will give you rest"

What will tghe New Year bring me?

i may not, must not know,

will it be love and rapture,

or loneliness and woe?

Hush! Hush! i hear His whisper

I shall surely be blest,

"My presence shall go with thee,
and i will give thee rest."

"You have been telling me, 'Lead these people,'

but You have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, 'I know you by name and you have found favour with me.' If You are pleased with me, teach me Your ways, so i may know You and continue to find favour with you. Remember that this nation is your people."
